Overview<\/strong>
To support a hybrid learning model, the University of Jaffna needed a robust, high-density wireless network spanning 15 academic and residential buildings. Our MillenniumIT ESP team delivered a turnkey solution\u2014from site survey through post-deployment support.<\/p>

The Challenge<\/strong>
With just 30 aging access points, students and faculty struggled to connect during peak hours. Video lectures jittered, research downloads stalled, and guest speakers reported disastrous drop-outs. The university\u2019s Single Sign-On (SSO) system also lacked integration with Wi-Fi authentication, forcing manual account management.<\/p>

Our Approach<\/strong><\/p>

  1. Site Survey & Heat-Mapping<\/strong><\/p>

    • Conducted walking surveys at three times of day<\/p><\/li>

    • Generated RF-coverage maps to identify dead zones<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>

    • Access Point Deployment<\/strong><\/p>

      • Installed 120 dual-band, enterprise-grade APs with seamless roaming<\/p><\/li>

      • Mounted APs in lecture halls, libraries, hostels, and outdoor quad<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>

      • Secure Authentication<\/strong><\/p>

        • Integrated Wi-Fi login with the university\u2019s SSO for two-factor authentication<\/p><\/li>

        • Issued digital certificates to 6,000 user accounts<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>
